Now it’s no secret that my eyesight isn’t what it used to be and painting in any light other than a direct white light is pointless if I want to achieve a display quality. So I’m having at the moment to paint in some pretty dodgy lighting conditions to get my Cryx painted for a Warmachine Journeyman League that I am part of. Good news is; I’m painting again bad news is; It’s just gaming standard from now on.Photography is proving a pain in the bum too as my lovely white light lamp was disposed of when I had to move, a trip to Argos might be in order I reckon.
Anyway enough of the whining I present you with some painted miniatures:
They have all been painted using Warplock Bronze as a base for the metal and applied all over the miniature, then drybrushed Iron Breaker, washed with Agrax Earthshade and then washed with watered down Bestial Brown (Vallejo Beasty Brown) to simulate rust in the recesses. Bone is GW’s Bone palette of Zandri Dust, washed with Seraphim Sepia, highlighted with Ushtabi Bone, then Screaming Skull and finally washed with Seraphim Sepia to bring it back in.
I’ll be posting pictures up of the Leviathan Helljack when I take some more pictures.
